Before becoming MUST’s partner, University offered only few morning programs in very limited fields of study, so it had a small student base and its infrastructure remained unused after morning classes
University , despite its high educational standards and established name, faced many problems that ranged from small student base to limited revenues and falling brand recognition. The reason for all these problems was manifold: It offered very few study programs in limited fields of study. And the programs the university did offer were only in morning timings which were no good choice for working adults who could make a big part of student base. So the small student base negatively affected its revenues and the university ended up with just a handful of returns. The university had long wanted to initiate new study programs and fields of study but didn’t have the expertise and resources to take this vital step. As University only offered morning programs, its infrastructure remained idle the whole day after morning classes, and the university couldn’t find ways to utilize the space.
Amid these concerns, University came to know that another Canadian university with the similar problems had lately started new evening programs in partnership with Must University, which was helping it promote its brand name and multiply its revenues. University followed suit and saw MUST’s partnership program as a perfect solution for all its problems. University was amazed by some fast facts about Must University’s: Must was specially created for working adults who make a huge part of student base; Must was a name of global renown and partnering with it was itself a prestige for any institution; Must University had all the country-specific educational frameworks; It offered all degrees including associate, bachelors, masters, doctorate, and doctoral programs; Must also offered diploma and certificate programs and had over 20 specialized schools which offered vast fields of study and majors.
University applied through MUST’s simple application process. It provided the initially required details regarding institution and infrastructure. In the next step of the application form, University was asked details about the study program(s) and field(s) of study it desired to initiate in partnership with Must. The application form also asked University details about its desired schedule and fees for the partnered study programs. An on-phone interview was soon followed which University cleared right away. Seeing University’s established name, Must fully waived the $5000 program joining fee. So finally University became MUST’s partner with zero payment and hassle.
University chose associate degree and diploma programs, and also two new fields of study named nursing and psychology in partnership with Must. University was now able to start these programs without making any special arrangements such as faculty, curriculum etc. This partnership also enabled the university to utilize its infrastructure and University chose evening timings for the new partnered programs. As soon as the partnership happened, a new Must-combined website was created for University where these partnered programs were described in detail and through the same website students could apply to these programs. Must also created a dedicated account area for University on its university website through which University could keep complete track of enrollments, students’ performance, fees, documents, and everything else related to the program. This account area also contained all the required promotional material, including Must University presentations, ready-to-print press ads etc. The dedicated website and account area made work extremely hassle-free for University.
University made the best use of the promotional material provided on its personal account area. It organized promotional seminars in different parts of the country specially targeting working adults. In these seminars, University played the readymade Must University presentations which were available in the account area. These seminars proved to be a huge success and attracted working adults in big numbers. University also used the newspaper ads available in the account area for the promotion of the partnered study programs. These ads also drew a great deal of response from the working adults across the country.
The idea of a university specially created for them was new and exciting for the working adults who, for a long time, seemed to be in need of such an opportunity. So enrollments at University for the partnered programs came flooding in. Must University only charged a fixed minimum fee per course, and University was free to set its own fee structure for its students. The most important benefit of the partnership was that University was able to start the new partnered study programs in its campus without making special arrangements, such as faculty, curriculum etc. Must had its own international faculty and curriculum. Additionally, the entire education management from courses, assignments to grades, documentation was taken care of by Must and University remained completely hassle free. The only thing University required in its campus was classrooms with computers with internet access.
The new wave of enrollments multiplied University’s revenues in a matter of months. Students felt so comfortable and satisfied with the whole educational process and standard. They came to University’s campus for the partnered study programs and studied online through MUST’s international faculty. This new learning experience, which was global in nature, was a breath of fresh air for the students. Students and teachers from across the world interacted and shared knowledge and information from one platform which worked for the unmatched development of the students and produced high-quality gradates.
