Scope of Chancellor Profession:

The Chancellor is the person who is most commonly known as the chief executive officer of the University. As part of the university policy, the Chancellor exercises wider authority and accountability for all aspects of campus supervision. Applicants have to have demonstrated leadership expertise in an academic environment; senior experience in managing large, diverse and difficult research universities, and also a strong research record and knowledge of teaching and learning, Educational Psychology, Learning and growth. Experience in solving difficulties of a growing and diverse university is favoured. In majority countries of the Commonwealth (or former Commonwealth) nations, as a rule, the Chancellor titular (nominal), a non-resident head, frequently with the Pro-Chancellor as useful Chairman of the governing body (Council), the actual head of the university is the Vice-Chancellor.
