Flight engineers have the ability to solve technical problems during the flight. To become a flight engineer, a combination of education and experience is required. Many of these developments and discoveries made by flight engineers improve the technology, materials and vehicles. Before the flight, the plane flight checks to make sure there is no leakage of fluid, and the tires are inflated properly. After flying in the air, the engineer advises the pilot or captain of any problems. The engineer shall monitor the instruments, and can make minor repairs such as replacing fuses. As a flight engineer also records of fuel consumption during the flight, as well as disseminate information on the activities of the engines.
