Scope of Floor manager Profession:

A floor manager organizes and manages all tasks related to the filming process. Once the director has issued his final notes to the cast, floor manager, as a rule, takes over command of the physical floor area. All these different technical teams, such as lighting, sound, scenery and props, reports directly to the floor manager who, in turn, is in constant communication with the director on the home phone or wireless headset. The head floor manager has several functions to perform, some of which may be delegated to other floor managers and assistants.
