Scope of Lighting technician Profession:


A lighting technician is a person responsible for the creation of lights and lighting effects used in theatre, film and television. Their work covers a wide range of effects, from the standard stage lighting, special effects, such as strobes, laser show, spotlights and much more. Lighting technicians work closely with art directors and managers to determine the appropriate consequences, and looks at every shot from the movie or scene in the play. Their role requires a lot of technical knowledge and understanding of complex systems, since they spend most of their time creating, repairing and dismantling lighting arrays and computer and electronic systems used to combat them. At a basic level, lighting technicians are responsible for things such as assisting in the creation and dismantling of the system so that everything remains in working condition, and taking direct orders from the stage or floor manager. As experience and certification, technicians begin to coordinate more shows, the programming of complex lighting effects to computers and, in general, the solutions of larger and more richly with the technical crew working under them.
