Scope of Linguist Profession:

Linguist knows several skills, but in any sense, a linguist is a person who is an expert in a certain extent, by language, including ancient languages. The term linguist can be used to describe a person who specializes in the field of linguistics, which is the study of language and a linguist can be a person well versed in the translation, interpretation and application of language. At the same time, a linguist may also be a person who is fluent in several languages. In the academic sense, a linguist is a person who participates in studies and linguistics. Simply put, linguistics refers to the language - both theoretical and practical. A person studying or professional practice or the theoretical and applied linguistics is commonly known as a linguist. Examples of theoretical linguistics are to include grammar, syntax, semantics, origin, and phonetics. Applied linguistics includes practical use of knowledge of language, such as translator, interpreter, speech therapist or a language teacher or professor. Despite the fact that the word and written word are often intertwined, a linguist focused more on words than the written word. Polyglot, or specialists in various languages, for example, can be regarded as a linguist. A specialist in the written word can be considered as a linguist, but to a greater extent depend on the duration and depth of its research in the field of linguistics.
