Scope of Reporter Profession:

The reporter is a type of correspondent who researches and represents information in several media. Reporters congregate information in different forms, including tips, press releases, sources (individuals with the information media), and witnessing events. They execute research through interviews, public records and other sources. Information-gathering is part of the job and is sometimes referred to as "reporting", in contrast to the production of the work, such as writing articles. Reporters usually divide their time among work in the news and going to witness events or interview people. The majority of journalists working in the major news media focus on the assigned area called beat or patch. They are encouraged to handle the sources in order to improve their information gathering. Knowledge domains useful for this profession include World literature, Public Relations, and Mass communication.
