Mr. Prasad is an enterprise architect, with experience in both technology and business consulting. He has devised an automated system for collecting and managing patient medical data on a portable smartcard storage device. He previously worked for IBM in their national Enterprise Architecture and Technology Architecture Center of Excellence for nearly 10 years. He has seventeen years of experience in computing technology and over ten years of experience in Internet technologies. Mr. Prasad has worked in various phases of project development ranging from defining business strategy, designing an enterprise architecture, designing service oriented and object-oriented IT architectures, delivering IBM methodology-based architecture solution documents, developing customized and lean governance models, and designing and implementing electronic commerce systems. He has consulted for the largest Fortune 100 companies and government organizations providing IT assessments, architectural analysis,

Teaching Experience:
September 2009 – Present Mr. Prasad is a systems designer and consultant in the healthcare industry. He has devised a solution for capturing patient medical data onto a medical smartcard and integrating it with existing hospital IT systems. His current focus is on data capture at point of care solutions, Electronic Health Record (EHR) interoperability and health information exchange architectures. He is working with EHR interoperability working groups at the national level via the National Health Information Network (NHIN) of the Office of National Coordination for Health Information Technology (ONCHIT). Mr. Prasad is also working with international leaders in the EHR field and technologies such as openEHR, ISO13606, CDA, CCR, HL7v2.x, HL7v3.0, etc. Mr. Prasad is working at the highest levels of the US healthcare industry, specifically with the National Health Information Network (NHIN) Working Group on designing interoperability for Electronic Health Records.
